A couple of weekends ago, the boys and I went to an open house for Horse Shoe Equine Rescue. It is only a couple of minutes from our house, and I never even knew it existed. The couple who lives there and runs it, rescues animals. They have miniature horses, horses, mules, donkeys, sheep, goats, and alpacas. They run on donations and volunteer work. It is a great place. they told us that the animals love to be around kids and that we could come visit any time.
