Birthday Build-A-Bear!

Ethan turned 6 on Saturday and we had his big party, so yesterday was our time to celebrate as a family. We slept in and then got ready to take Ethan to Indianapolis for his surprise birthday present. We didn't tell the boys where we were going, so the anticipation grew as we drove along. To their surprise, we ended up at Build-A-Bear! They have been wanting to go for a few years, so a birthday was the perfect excuse to finally make the trip!

The boys chose hearts for their new friends and added qualities that they wanted them to possess.

Next, they each got to step on the pedal to stuff their animal.

The assistant asked them to rub the hearts on their foreheads, noses and ears.

Then, she asked them to place the hearts on their hearts, close their eyes, and make a wish for their stuffed animals.

They placed the hearts in their animals, and then the assistant sewed them up.

They each got a bath before the boys picked out their outfits.
Ethan named his bunny Platty and chose a Spiderman costume. Jacob named his monkey Bananas and chose an Iron Man costume for him.

The boys beamed as they strutted through the mall with their new little friends.

After Build-A-Bear, we went to P.F. Chang's for dinner. It was pretty tasty, and they gave Ethan a free dessert for his birthday!

What a wonderful birthday weekend!
