Last week marked the end of Carter's basketball season at the Boys and Girls Club. Their team did not win a single game all season. Poor kids. Then, they surprised everyone by winning their first tournament game on Thursday! They had already scheduled a pizza party after the game to conclude the season, and boy, were they pumped! Their coach even made out award certificates for each player. Carter received the "Basketball IQ" award for knowing where everyone is on the court and what needs to be done. Unfortunately, they lost their game on Friday and the season came to an end.
Carter was asked to play in an All Star game on Saturday at the West Vigo Community Center by his coach. He had the kids vote on the best player and since Carter made the top three, he got to go. It was a good experience and gave him something to do on Saturday afternoon besides playing video games.
Kenny has registered Carter to play spring ball at the Wabash Valley Sports Center, so basketball isn't officially over for us just yet!
