Indiana State University's homecoming is today! Megan and the Patriot Brigade marched in the parade this morning, so Kenny and I bundled up the boys and headed out to watch her. It was Ethan and Jacob's first experience at a parade, and they loved it! We found the perfect place near the end of the parade that wasn't very crowded, so we were able to let them out of the stroller to collect candy with Carter. All three of them had a great time and got lots of candy! Since we were at the end, some people in the parade came over and emptied their buckets of leftover candy into our bag. Others, tossed handfuls to the kids. One guy, who must have been over the whole experience, pummeled poor Jacob in the face with about fifteen tootsie rolls. He cried for a bit and then was back to having fun. The best part was seeing Megan march past us.
(The building on the left was my dorm in the fall of 1989! I lived on the fourth floor facing the other side.)
My niece, Maria, was also in the parade, so we got to see her too!
We were happy to have such a beautiful morning to enjoy the parade.
