A couple of weeks ago, our little girl turned 16! I can't believe how quickly the years have passed. Because of her demanding color guard schedule, we were unable to have a large birthday celebration. On her actual birthday, she had practice from 5:30-8:30, so we were unable to go out to eat as we normally do to celebrate birthdays. So, during the day, Ethan and Jacob went to the party supply store with me to pick out some balloons and decorations for the house. We wanted her to be surprised when she got home from school. It was so cute how excited they were about "Sissy's" birthday. After practice, we had chocolate cake and everyone, including Ethan and Jacob, sang "Happy Birthday" to her. That weekend, she had some friends spend the night after a color guard competition. She will be getting her driver's license in March! Yikes!
Can't believe she is 16! That's nuts! We hope she had a really happy birthday. We'll start praying now for when the time comes for her to drive! :)
