We made gingerbread man cookies today! We used the Pillsbury refrigerated dough and just rolled the dough, cut them out, and then the boys decorated them with raisins and M&Ms. Kenny was able to come home for lunch today, so he got in on the action too. I love the fact that he works so close to home!
As you can see by the pictures, some of the raisins and M&Ms got pushed all the way through the cookies. And, some of them are loaded! They don't look perfect, but they were great fun for two little boys. When it was time to eat one, Ethan had a hard time. He refused to bite his little man, hugged him, and told him to run away to his gingerbread house. After fifteen minutes of talking to his edible buddy, he started just licking his face. Then, he proceeded with a nibble. After that, it was all over with and he was gobbled up in no time!
What a great activity to do with the kids! They'll treasure those memories for years to come!
