Yesterday was Earth Day, but we were so busy that we didn't get around to making our Earth Day craft, so we did it today.
Ethan and Jacob were excited just coloring the coffee filters and squirting them with water. I was surprised that they knew what the colors represented. Jacob said that the blue was the water, and Ethan said that the green was the land. Then, I had each of them pose for a picture with their hands up and surprised them with the finished product. Jacob's expression was priceless. He held his hand over his mouth, raised his eyebrows, and exclaimed, "I am holding the earth?!" Ethan giggled.
We're going to be learning more about our planet earth this week. And then, hopefully, we can plant some trees in our yard this weekend.
