I can't believe that my first born turned 18 yesterday!! How am I the parent of an adult? It's hard to believe, but it's true. Megan's boyfriend's birthday is about a week before hers. He is a Cardinals fan, so she wanted to take him to a Cubs vs. Cards game in St. Louis. We were too nervous to let her drive to and from St. Louis in one day, so Kenny, Carter, and I went along too and then we all spent the night. On Saturday, we checked in to our hotel, grabbed a bite to eat, and then headed to the game.
The Cardinals won, so it was a good game. After the game, we went back to the hotel. There was a large wedding reception being held in the lobby/lounge, so we decided to go to the Incredible Pizza Company to play around until the reception died down.
Carter is the master of these Jackpot style games and won 1,000 tickets on this one. He was kind enough to buy things for his little brothers with his winnings.
Yesterday was Megan's actual birthday, so we got up and went to McArthur's Bakery for breakfast. Their donuts were delicious!! We also got the butter cakes that we love so much and let Megan pick out a birthday cake to take home. She chose the red velvet.
Then, it was off to the arch!
Underneath the arch is a museum about the westward movement. It is filled with all kinds of interesting photos and artifacts. Reading the first hand accounts from Native Americans was just heartbreaking!
We had a great weekend celebrating the birthdays of two great kids, who aren't really kids any more.

Hope, that looks like so much fun. What a great time. I know Chad was texting you while watching the game. He was super jealous that he wasn't there too. Your photos are great. You look so pretty in that one with Kenny! Looks like you guys had a great time!
