Carter's friend joined us for lunch under a tree in the shade.
Here's Carter ready to begin the afternoon.
The class rotated through a variety of activities. Some of the activities were individual competitions, while others required teams to participate.
Carter came in first during his initial leg of the race and then came in second overall for the class.
The Potato Sack Race
This was the Shoe Kick.
You can't see Carter's shoe because it went so high.
I just love his smile!
Here, they had to use the cup to transfer the water from the bucket to the jug.
Afterward, the kids dumped both of them on their heads!
Look how happy Carter is to be soaking wet!
Next was the Egg Race. Carter got caught cheating!
After the egg race, the kids had to do a relay where they would race to the milk crate, put on a uniform, and then race back and take it off for the next person in line to put on.
The last event was the tug of war. The kids gave it all they had, but came up short.
Rio Grande Day concluded with everyone receiving a blue icee.
I was so happy to get to spend the day with Carter!
It was super hot, but it was also a lot of fun!
Carter - you're the man! Love the photos. The best part is the hat. Worn in true NY style too!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! It was a hot day though! At least the kids had fun!
