Preschool Praise

Because Ethan has motor planning issues, he is a late potty trainer.  He occasionally tells us when he has to go, but most of the time, we just sit him on the potty.  Regardless of how he gets there, we celebrate every production.

Potty training is one of his goals at preschool too.  They take him to the potty each day and have him try.  Sometimes he goes, and sometimes he doesn't.  Today, however, he communicated to Miss Savannah that he had to go potty.  It's the first time that he has ever asked to use the potty at preschool, and he was able to go all by himself!  I love the fact that they celebrated his accomplishment with lots of verbal praise.  He also got a cute little certificate from his teacher.  Any stride in potty training is a big deal for all of us.

Way to go, Ethan!
