Miracle on 7th Street

Miracle on 7th Street was held in downtown Terre Haute tonight.  I had told Ethan and Jacob that we were going and they were excited that they were going to get a chance to see a real reindeer.  We picked Kenny up from work and headed out to the festivities.  Downtown Terre Haute has been revitalized and the businesses have really come together to provide nice community activities.  There were lots of vendors lining the streets as well as festive decorations.

The Grinch was on hand passing out candy canes and posing for pictures.

The children's museum had a live reindeer that the kids could pet and have their picture taken with.

One of the activities that the boys enjoyed was making their own snow.

We were told that Ethan was the only child the entire night to choose white snow.

Carter and Jacob each chose blue.

We got to take a break in the theater where they had snacks and stories.

Each child also got to make an ornament to take home.

Afterward, Jacob put on a show for us and was a dancing machine!

He then found a tiger book and sat quietly reading it.

We had a great night out on the town, and it only cost us $3 for parking.  Our children's museum pass has proven to be a great investment.  We have certainly gotten our money's worth and then some!
