New Year's Noon

I love our children's museum!  Today, they hosted a Countdown to Noon party so that the little kids could experience what it's like to celebrate New Year's Eve.  Our kids actually do stay up for festivities, but lots of little ones can't last a whole day.  When we arrived, the kids got to make crowns and noise makers for the party.

Megan and Carter agreed to attend the party with us, so it was nice to have all four of them together.  Kenny was going to meet us during his lunch break, but had too many patients and couldn't get away.

Beginning at 11:00, they started the countdown on the big screen.  Miss Abby found us and asked Ethan and Jacob to be some of her helpers for the countdown to noon.

Jacob was in charge of the number 5.

Ethan was in charge of the number 9.  All of the helpers were lined up from 10 to 1 and a friend's daughter held a "Happy New Year!" sign.  When Miss Abby pointed to a kid, he/she was to hold their number up high.  The kids were so distracted by all of commotion, that only a couple of them actually did it, but it was cute, and they were excited.

Ethan led the parade with Miss Abby.  After the parade, there was a big dance party on the first floor.  Ethan and Jacob thought it was great!

We enjoyed the party and hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year's Eve!
