It was Tot Time Tuesday today at our local children's museum. Miss Abby stuck with the cooking theme and had the kids whip up some reindeer food to be used on Christmas Eve. Miss Rachel read a book about reindeer and we learned that male and female reindeer grow antlers.
I helped them measure out their ingredients and they mixed them all together.
Then, they got a turn rearranging the reindeer face.
After Tot Time, we went to the first floor, where there was a large area set up with a circus theme.
The boys dressed up like clowns.
Ethan tried to learn how to spin plates like a real circus act.
Not sure this nose was the best idea during cold and flu season, but he had it on when I turned around.
The last part, and their favorite, was playing in the vet area.
Jacob was so serious about it.
Ethan loved calling the doctor and giving him updates.
We hit McDonald's before going to speech at the Rowe Center.
The boys were well behaved and the nicest old man came up from behind, put his hand on my shoulder, and asked me if the boys were sedated. He laughed and said that they were very well behaved. He asked if they were brothers and then told us that he is the "baby" of his family. His sisters have all passed, but he has a 94 year old brother as well as a 90 year old brother. He then told me that he is 16. He laughed again and said that that's how old his grandson says he is. I laughed and told him that we would just go with that. It was so nice to have a chat with that cute old man and to know that seeing my kids made him smile.
So cute - makes me miss those days so much!
