Everyone was home today....all six of us! So, we took a road trip to Metropolis in Plainfield for the lighting of their big Christmas tree.
It was really nice out, so the wait wasn't bad at all. Radio Disney was there playing music, teaching the kids dance moves, and distributing free raffle tickets for prizes.
Jacob was one of the lucky winners, and boy was he happy!
While we waited for the lighting of the tree, we enjoyed some free hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies. The boys played on the play equipment too.
These four concrete balls made for perfect seats for my four kids.
At 5:45, the tree was lit. The little guys were so excited and clapped.
Jacob hitched a ride back to the car with Carter.
It was a fun, little outing and got us all in the mood for Christmas. We can't wait to put up our tree this weekend!
