Carter had some friends from our old neighborhood spend the night last night. Gavin and Madison have always been like part of the family. We have known Madison since she was really little, and have known Gavin since he was born. I loved hearing their giggles and seeing them all snuggled together on the couch watching movies. It was just like old times and brought a smile to my face. I just love those kids!
Then, this afternoon, Jacob and Ethan attended a party in our new neighborhood. Their friend, Lucas, turned three and had a superhero party! They were excited!
We haven't seen too much of Megan lately. She is one very busy girl! She has winter guard practice every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening for 3-4 hours. Every other Wednesday, she volunteers for the Big Brother/Big Sister Program which she loves. She also volunteers every Tuesday and Thursday after school at a center for under-privileged kids. She helps them with activities and then assists in serving dinner. On Saturdays, she travels out of town for winter guard competitions. On top of all of this, she works at Walgreen's every other Sunday and is able to maintain her grades. She is very dedicated to these commitments.and we are very proud of her. We miss having her around but understand that she is paving her way in this world, and so far, we like the path she is on.
