My friend, Brittney, had a little Valentine's Day party for Ethan and Jacob and two of her kids. She invited us over to exchange valentines and then to have a valentine themed lunch. She had made up little bags for each of the kids with lots of goodies inside. The bags were also the mailboxes used to deliver the valentines.
Before lunch, the kids decorated heart shaped glasses and door hangers. They loved peeling off the backs of the foam pieces and sticking them all over. The glasses were my favorite and turned out really cute. They fit all of the kids perfectly too.
Next, she set up a bean bag toss. The kids had to toss the bean bags into the hearts, and they had a lot of fun with that.
Then, it was lunch time. Brittney served Bagel Bites along with lots of heart shaped food such as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cheese slices, marshmallows, and a large rice krispie treat. Some of the sandwiches and cheese were in the shape of lips too. Everything looked cute and the kids thought the shapes were neat.
After lunch, the kids played for a bit while we talked, but then, Jacob let me know that it was time to go by having a huge meltdown and not doing so well with the sharing of toys. (You can see that he is teary-eyed in the last picture.)
It was a great party and we were happy to have had the chance to celebrate the upcoming holiday with our friends.
Thanks so much, Brittney!!
